Aba assists lawyers and law firms:
Aba's Experience Aba is a lawyer called to the Bar in BC in 2018. Prior to law school, she was a senior legal assistant for several years at a national law firm in Vancouver. This gave her a good grounding and an appreciation of the operations of a law firm. She initially practiced Personal Injury (plaintiff side), then moved on to a generalist role where she had exposure to several areas of law, including family law. She has also practiced personal injury (defence side). Aba has strong research skills and produces succint reports of her findings. She is very organized. She has produced over 100 quantum assessments/settlement proposals and most of her files settled close to what she proposed. Her reviews are comprehensive and leave little room for the other side's disagreement. She has keen analytical skills and is fair and unbiased in her assessments. She can also review contracts and provide appropriate feedback. Aba also has experience preparing Chambers Application materials, eg. Notice of Applications, Affidavits in support and Exhibits for various chambers applications including compelling attendance at IME, production of clinical/employment and other records during document production stage of litigation. Aba is versatile and is willing to venture into unchartered waters with the right mentorship and guidance. |
