Amy has a decade of experience as a business lawyer. She started her legal career on Bay Street before moving to the Ottawa office of a global firm in 2007. There she developed her expertise and specialization in contract creation and negotiation for companies of all sizes and at all stages in their development. She has worked for small local businesses, large publicly traded companies and foreign owned companies with Canadian subsidiaries across a variety of industries including, but not limited to, technology, telecommunications, retail and education.
Amy now practices as a freelance lawyer with a particular emphasis on internet, telecommunications and technology law matters. She has extensive expertise drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of technology related documents, including services agreements, licensing agreements, consulting agreements, privacy policies, terms and conditions, website guidelines and procurement contracts.
Amy knows the importance of being thorough and detail oriented in every project and in every agreement. She prides herself on her attention to detail and has many years of experience with due diligence, contract management, template creation and the legal analysis of RFPs. She is also available to work with firms on their legal content marketing, including website content, blog posts and client newsletters.
