Experience: Prior to launching her own solo and freelance practice in 2020, Carina practiced with litigation boutiques in downtown Toronto for eight years, with a focus on health law, construction law, professional negligence, and professional regulation and discipline. She has a track record of achieving positive results for her clients, and her eye for detail and written advocacy skills have been highly valued by both clients and colleagues. Carina is experienced in all aspects of civil and administrative litigation, from complex commercial matters to high-stakes cases involving reputational risk. She has handled matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Commercial List, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario, as well as a variety of administrative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO) and the Health Professionals Appeal and Review Board (HPARB). Carina was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011, after having received her JD from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law in 2010 and articling with a national law firm in Toronto. |
