WANT TO BECOME A FLEX LEGAL FREELANCE LAWYER?
Experienced lawyers join our network because they are seeking greater flexibility than what a position at a law firm or other traditional legal role can offer.
Flex Legal lawyers are not just exceptional counsel, they are also entrepreneurial, self-disciplined, and self-motivated. In particular we welcome lawyers who have the "Flex Factors": a minimum of 5 years of practice, experience at a top firm and / or in-house legal department, an entrepreneurial spirit, a commitment to excellence, and an emphasis on quality client service. Becoming a member of the Flex Legal network is not a full time job, you are not an employee, but a member in a network of freelancers. It is an ideal opportunity for lawyers who have already established their freelance practice and are looking for additional work, or lawyers who are new to freelancing and have other responsibilities or interests in life that are not compatible with the working hours of a regular law firm or general counsel role. Joining Flex is also a good match for lawyers who may have stepped back from the practice of law for a few years and wish to gradually re-enter the workforce by working on a project basis.

ON-BOARDING STEPS 1. Interview: Please fill out the form below. If you meet the Flex Factors, and Flex Legal is looking to add freelancers with your experience, you will be contacted to schedule an interview and to provide an up-to-date CV. During this interview you will get to know Flex Legal and we will get to know your legal experience and your thoughts on your "Ideal Freelance Practice". This will help our team figure out the best freelance projects for you. Interviews are normally held on a few mornings of each month. 2. References and Writing Sample: After the interview you will be asked to provide a writing sample and two references. 3. Welcome to the World of Freelancing: Once references have been checked and both you and the interview team agree that you would be a great addition to our network, you will sign our Membership Terms and be added to Flex Legal's roster of freelancers.
