Kathleen P.

About

Kathleen assists lawyers and law firms with:

Legal research, drafting written materials (e.g. pleadings, submissions, correspondence, articles, legal content marketing), and preparing for court (e.g. noting up cases, drafting notes for oral submissions).

Experience:

Kathleen obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta in 2015. She articled and practiced at the Federal Department of Justice in Edmonton, Alberta. She relocated to coastal British Columbia in 2019, and she then began her own freelance legal practice. Being a freelance lawyer allows her to focus on three things she is passionate about: legal research, writing, and helping other lawyers.  She is an active member of the law societies of Alberta and British Columbia. She has experience in the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, and all levels of court in Alberta.
