Teddy assists lawyers and law firms with: 

  • Legal research and writing (memoranda, opinion letters, factums, pleadings, demand letters, jurisprudence review and summaries etc.);
  • document review;
  • summary legal advice;
  • consultations;
  • drafting oral submissions;
  • project management;
  • other litigation support.

Experience:

Teddy obtained their JD from the University of Windsor in 2018. While at Windsor, they volunteered at the Community Legal Aid clinic, taking carriage of mostly criminal files. They articled at the Canadian Civil Liberties Association in Toronto, Ontario. In 2019, Teddy relocated to Makhanda, South Africa for 6 months to intern with the Legal Resources Centre, a public interest law firm. They are an active member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, and The Advocates Society. Teddy has personal experience in the Ontario Court of Justice, and experience with litigation support at all levels of court in Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada.
